The return of Grassy Noel & APE with this month’s special guest, Artist Gina Southgate.

Gina Southgate is well known on the London free music and jazz scene whereshe has painted and/or performed live at gigs for 25 years. Her first solo exhibition of live music paintings was at London’s Jazz café in 1988.
Working with the frisson of the music, observing the relationship between the musician and instrument. her live painting captures the energy and essence of the gig in real time, sometimes working solely with sound to produce abstract imagery. In performance situations she uses her materials and surfaces sonically.
